ABOUT THE ARTWORK

My  paintings are acrylic on canvas, sometimes adding oil pastel. I utilize many layers of washes and overlay to create a feeling of dimension. 

I paint ethereal places filled with glowing light and vibrant color. I want to capture the visceral impact and awe of the cosmos as well as the intimate spaces that dwell within us.       

I encourage viewers to find their own meaning out of what I create. I am often inspired by what others see in my work and often use their perspective to further develop and inform my images.   

I hope to evoke a feeling of communion or a meditative state in my work. To experience the divine essence of the universe as well as the spark of spirit we all contain
